String.split() Split into an array

split breaks the string into an array around a separator — the inverse of join.

📝 Syntax

const arr = str.split(separator);

⚙️ Parameters

separatorSeparator string or regex; empty string splits per character.

Returns:An array of substrings.

Mutates the original:No (returns a new value)

💡 Tip split('').reverse().join('') is the standard string reversal.
⚠️ Warning An unmatched separator returns a one-element array with the whole string, not [].
